Music Videos - $350 - $1200

How cool will it be to be in a music video?  Showing an epic band video will increase your chances of getting the gig. There are basically two types of videos out there with thousands of variations.  Both types are discussed below.

Band only  

The easiest form of a music video is just filming the band (or solo artist).  I will  film each player doing their thing using multiple angles, add some crowd and venue shots, then sync it with your audio.  In post-production I will add a little flair to make you look that much more epic.  While these seem easy enough, it does take some creativity to get the look you want.  We will discuss what you are looking for before shooting and I will edit it based on that discussion.

Story Video  

Story videos are a fun way to show off your band.  They are more work than your standard band only video but have a much larger impact.  We will use your lyrics to come up with a script for what will basically be a short film.  In between scenes of the ‘short film’, I will add shots of the band playing.  Whether you want to use hired actors, band members, or friends, we will have people act out the scenes to the script.  The nice thing is, you don’t need any acting skill since you won’t have any lines to say.  There are endless possibilities to story videos.

 

Music Videos

I start with a flat fee of $100.

For your basic music video filming just the band from multiple angles I ask for $95 per final minute of video produced.** That means if you have a 3-minute song it would cost you $385.  This includes the video edit, sound correction, transitions, etc.  All videos are a bit different and if you have special requests we can work together to get you what you want.*  

 

For a story video, I charge roughly the same as a standard music video.  A flat fee of $100 and $95 per final minute of video produced.  However, since we are also filming a script, I charge $70 per hour for shooting.  So, let’s say you have that same 3-minute song, and we spend 3 hours shooting the script part of the video, your total would be $595. 

 

*The venue may reduce or increase costs depending on the ease or difficulty of the shoot.  

**I do give solo artists a discount since filming one person as opposed to an entire band is a lot less work.
